This state-of-the-art chicken hatchery for Darwalla Group located in Allora, Queensland was delivered in collaboration with our valued client, McNab, and showcases our specialist turn-key project capabilities. From concept design and cost planning to installation and commissioning, our team was intimately involved in the project planning and delivery process to provide high-level technical support and advice. Requiring an extensive understanding of business operations, the project presented both a complex scope of work and a critical work environment. Our experienced team expertly managed power outages and implemented robust risk mitigation strategies to deliver the project while day-to-day operations continued seamlessly and safely. Testament to our comprehensive end-to-end service model, today we provide ongoing facility management services.
- Installation and commissioning of a 900kw chilled water system. This includes 14,000 litres of buffer tanks, a primary and secondary redundancy flow pump system encompassing 2 kilometres of reticulated chilled water and heating hot water copper pipework.
- Supply and installation of two 700kw gas-fired boilers, including an automated control system.
- Installation of client-supplied air handling systems for hatchers and setter areas.
- Supply and installation of two 2,500 litres/min free air delivery compressed air systems, plus fan coil unit fresh air systems.
- Full electrical and mechanical engineering design and coordination works.
- Detailed workshops with methodologies, switching schedules, commissioning plans, and test scripts presented for client understanding and peace of mind before intricate electrical works.
- Complete electrical fit-out, including, distribution boards, cabling including control cabling to hatchery equipment, lighting works, general power, and all electrical fittings and outlets.
- Complex main switchboard replacement and transfer of generator and load shedding controls while fully maintaining facility operations.
- Supply and installation of site-wide communication networks and security systems, plus Building Management System (BMS) controls for all mechanical and electrical services. This includes complete integration of the existing site services.
